HR Asia Award
We are proud to announce that, once again, Wellington College China has received HR Asia’s ‘Best Companies to Work for in Asia’ award. This is the fourth year in a row that the group has enjoyed such an honour. We remain the only education group to ever achieve this!
In addition, we received awards for ‘Diversity, Equity & Inclusion’, ‘Digital Transformation’, and ‘Most Caring’, underscoring our commitment to creating a supportive, inclusive and innovative workplace. Hiba Academy Shanghai became a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS).
APRIL
Hiba Academy Shanghai was authorised as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School and approved to offer the International Baccalaureate Programme (IBDP).
AUGUST
Wellington College International Hangzhou was confirmed as a COBIS Patron’s Accredited member school, and 3 Beacon Status Awards for outstanding practice.
DECEMBER
Hiba Academy Hangzhou officially became a member of The Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA).
Creating
compelling conversations
RAISE conference 2023 wrapped up in Hong Kong after two days of thought-provoking discussions and knowledge sharing. Our very own Julian Jeffrey, Chief Executive Master of Wellington College China and Stella Zhou, Master of Hiba Academy Shanghai participated in this prestigious event.
Mr Jeffrey delivered an insightful talk about effective leadership development in schools that deeply resonated with the audience. Likewise, Ms Zhou’s session, ‘Innovation and Integration: Exploration and Practice of Sustainable Development in Private Bilingual Schools’ provided ample food for thought.
Kay Yang, Deputy Head of Whole College, Wellington College International Shanghai, participated in a roundtable discussion titled ‘Education for an Uncertain Future: Developing Resilient Global Citizens’ at the 2023 CAEF CEIBS Alumni Future Education Forum. During the session, experts discussed strategies for preparing pupils to navigate an uncertain world and become adaptable global citizens. Kay contributed a wealth of insights and perspectives to the engaging conversation.
Suisui Yu, Principal of Hiba Academy Nantong, attended the 2023 International Education Innovation Conference and participated in the roundtable discussion on the theme of ‘The Unlimited Possibilities of Education: Exploring and Practicing Diverse Learning’.
Dr Yang Yang, Master of Wellington College Tianjin, participated in the Asia School Construction Conference in Beijing, hosted by BEED Asia. She delivered a compelling speech titled ‘Building Bridges between Chinese and Expat Teams with Trust’, in which she shared her extensive knowledge and insights on the topic of multicultural teamwork.
